Bavaria, the largest country in Germany has international borders with different autonomy status to Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. It is located on the western edge of the Alps, bordering Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic and consists of four federal states: Bavaria, Rhineland-Palatinate, Baden-Württemberg and Saxony-Anhalt.
