Brunswick Stew 🐿

Winter is coming, and its soup and stew time here, and one of my favourites is Brunswick Stew. If you’re looking for one warm and hearty meal before you head out and face the weather, I recommend you prepare a batch of this healthy Brunswick stew.

If you have never tried it, I encourage you to prepare this stew at home, and if you don’t feel like cooking it, buy it.

You can choose to make your own Pulled Pork or Chicken or buy from your local supermarket. If you like to cook your own meat, you can buy a large amount of meat like beef, pork, or chickenpox save a few bob, and keep them in the freezer until you are ready to use them.

Local businesses are vying to find the best stew recipe, but I believe its this, it is a hunter stew that combines all the meat (sometimes bacon, sometimes squirrels) with all the vegetables available locally. There is usually tomato in the stew as well as a variety of other vegetables, such as carrots, onions, celery and peppers. Modern recipes contain many different meats and even a bit of fish. Some vegans use ice cubes, but its not the same as a classic rabbit stew.

Brunswick stews are often served as a side dish or as part of a meal, often with bread and salad for dinner. Sometimes it is offered as an appetiser, main course or even as a main course for a dinner party.

Basically, cook the rabbit (or other meat) until it is tender and begins to break down, add all the vegetables you can find, with some water and salt and pepper leave to stew. Enjoy!

If you prepare this meal at home, you can freeze leftovers so you can enjoy it later. The basic components of a Brunswick stew include a variety of meats, with chicken or rabbit being the most common, along with vegetables such as onions, carrots, celery, potatoes, peppers and herbs.
