A simple chicken satay recipe is one of my favourite dishes. I love using my barbecue for dinner and I always serve it with homemade peanut sauce! I usually make the sauce and stir-fry fried vegetables, in advance.

I serve a tasty chicken satay meal with cauliflower rice and a side of rice noodles, you can ask anybody.

To cook the chicken satay skewers, thread the marinated chicken between the soaked bamboo skewers or metal skewers and place over a bbq, or place the skewers in the oven for 30-40 minutes.

Once you have cooked the chicken satay, you can remove the skewers, but I prefer to serve them as is and let the guests figure out how to eat them.

If you want to, you can prepare a simple chicken satay recipe as an appetiser, I recommend using individual bamboo skewers for serving if you plan to do this. If you have a set of metal kabob skewers, you can show off a little, which is awesome, but I’ve only got 6 inches wooden skewers.

Personally, I think it’s best to eat it with peanut sauce that’s hot or room temperature.
