Something Long And Complicated visits Villarrica, Chile 🇨🇱

When you think of things in Chile, the Lake District is one of the most beautiful destinations in the country. Nestled between the mountains of the north and south of Chile – to the west and just a few miles from the coast – the Chilean city is a thrill-seeker’s haven – for seekers and outdoor enthusiasts alike – to find places where locals can do something. There are undoubtedly many good restaurants, bars, shops, hotels, restaurants and hotels in Villa Rica, but there is nothing like that on the other side of the city. Sources: 6, 8, 13

Villarrica’s highest mountain has six volcanoes, including two of the highest in the world, Mount San Juan and San Jose. These are the most active volcanoes in Chile and are the source of some of the most spectacular views in Chile, as well as a great deal of natural beauty. Sources: 5

Villarrica is one of the few volcanoes in the world where lava from the crater can be seen, making it very touristy. The last major eruption of Villarica volcano was in 1985, although the region has been affected by numerous smaller eruptions since then. It is not unusual for it to erupt, leading to the evacuation of more than 3000 inhabitants, and it has been the scene of a number of volcanic eruptions in recent decades. In recent years, there have been only two documented outbreaks, both in Petit Breuilh in Lobato (1994) and Lara in Lara. Sources: 0, 2, 6

One of the interesting features of Villarrica volcano is that it has both a summit and a stratavolcano cone. It is one of only five volcanoes in the world known to have an active lava lake in its crater. This stretch of the volcano stretches for thousands of kilometres across the backbone of Chile and forms the border between the Andes chain and the South Atlantic. Almost the entire length of our country covers most of Argentina, which is formed by the Chilean Andes and acts as a physical human divide. Sources: 2, 9, 10, 11

This is also known as Pucon and I can say that it is one of the most beautiful places in Chile. I haven’t been there in years, but I want to visit this beautiful Chile next time I’m on the road. It is also probably the most beautiful part of Chile, while one has great pictures of Santiago further north. Sources: 3, 6

The hostel owner in Santiago de Chile, with whom I have worked in the past, recommended a visit to the Huerquehue National Park. In the hostels we acted as if we were hiking in one of Chile’s most active volcanoes, the Pucon sea volcano. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to make a tailor-made trip to Lake Vulcano, including climbing the most active volcano. Sources: 14, 15, 16
