Bathurst, Australia 🙃

Something Long And Complicated visits Bathurst, Australia 🇦🇺

Australia has a wealth of places to explore at any time of the year, from bustling country towns to beautiful beaches and beautiful mountains. Australia has many great beaches to choose from. As it turns out, the Blue Mountains can surprise and delight with all the unique small towns and suburbs that line the streets of Sydney, or simply be a treasure to be discovered on the way to Sydney. If you’re in the mood for a bit of adventure, choose one of these delightful little places in the Blue Mountains that are a treat in themselves. The Craft Park is a beautiful little town with a unique craft and crafts market, art galleries, shops, cafes and restaurants. Sources: 6, 9

Just 100 metres away is the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, where temporary exhibitions are designed to reflect the local landscape, including local landscapes. Built in 1989, it is the only regional gallery of its kind in Australia and offers a unique view of the Blue Mountains from a hill in the city centre. Sources: 3, 9

Bathurst was the site of Australia’s first permanent refugee camp, which received more than 100,000 migrants between 1948 and 1952. Sources: 5

Despite the difficult conditions, the first New Australian Opera Company was founded and Tosca performed at the migrant camp in Bathurst, and there was positive coverage of the country. The Macquarie River is named after Governor Lachlan Macquarie, the MacQuarie Mountains after the Governor of New South Wales and the Bathurst Plains after Lordbathurst. State surveyor George Evans first saw them when he crossed the Blue Mountains that same year. In the 1960s, Jack Brabham, an early hero on the track, was inaugurated in his first race of what is now known as the 1,000. Sources: 3, 4, 5

Bathurst is also a paradise for nature lovers, with many activities in Bathurst. You can enjoy motor boating, sailing, swimming and fishing, and athletes from the 2000 Olympic Games can register and enjoy a day on the beach or in the beautiful parks and gardens of downtown. The National Olympic Park, where the athletes were accommodated for the year 2000 Sydney is home to some of Australia’s most prestigious sporting events, including the Commonwealth Games, the Olympic Games in Australia and the Sydney Olympics. In addition to curated exhibitions and contemporary art and design exhibitions, it has partnered with surrounding communities to create a living space that showcases the full spectrum of artistic endeavors. A fence post indicating where Governor Macquarie declared the city of Bathurst on May 7, 1815, was located on Stanley Street. There is a richly decorated Victorian Munro drinking fountain, imported from England in 1891 and named after the then mayor, and a plaque commemorating Charles Darwin’s visit to Bathurst in 1840 and 1836. Army camps were built on the site of the former Royal Military Academy in the early 19th century. Stephen, a Sydney lawyer, built a house in Stephen’s Lane. Sources: 3, 5

The announcement at Bend meant Queensland Raceway was unable to race a Supercars round for the first time since 1999, but the series will return to Bathurst this year after an astonishing turnaround in a series that snubbed Australia’s biggest motorsport complex while juggling a decimated calendar. With three races, including a night race in the new light of SMSP and trekking through camps as diverse as SeaWorld, thousands of fans from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States will gather and stay there over the weekend. The cars will qualify for the AGP meeting on Saturday, the last race of the season will take place on Sunday. Sources: 1

The omission from the track brought a sharp rebuke from owner Sam Shahin, who suggested that Supercars owe South Australia a big apology. In 2000, he finally agreed to donate the 10,000 pieces to the Australian Museum, which is legally obliged to keep them in the Somerville Collection rather than permanently exhibit them in a museum in Bathurst. The Bathurst Heritage Trail brochure, considered one of Australia’s most popular tourist attractions and a popular destination for tourists, is a commentary on the richness of its historic heritage. Where we have data, we have given the minimum and maximum population numbers of the place to give you a better idea of how far it is from the rest of Australia. If you need to be in a city 25 miles south of Bathurst, you can export the Bathurst results to CSV and filter the value table by location. For example, if the data shows that there are fewer than 1,000 inhabitants in the city of St Albans, NSW, but more than 2,500 people in the city centre, or if you have no data. Sources: 3, 8

Piri Piri Chicken 😋

This is basically a delicious South African chicken recipe with tender chicken breasts that simmer in a spiced lemon and onion sauce. There are so many great grilled chicken recipes, but after trying some Portuguese inspired recipes, it was time for me to take a look at one of my favorite recipes for South African chicken. This is a South African Piri Piris chicken that simmers tender chicken breasts in an aromatic, spicy lemon-onion-seasoning sauce with a hint of salt and pepper. Sources: 7, 9, 12

Although there are plenty of variations, the common elements of most of these recipes are the spicy lemon – onion sauce, spicy chicken breasts and a hint of salt and pepper. The spicy spiciness is a great addition to the sauce, balancing the sweet and savory flavors of lemon and onion in this South African Piri Piris chicken recipe. This is based on the African Bird’s Eye Chili, which is a spicy combination of chicken, lemon, onion, salt, pepper, garlic, black pepper and spices. Sources: 0, 3

For the sauce, mix the chillies with garlic, salt, paprika and herbs (think peri-peris, the sauce seasoning). After grilling, put the onions and peppers, the lemon juice, olive oil, lemon zest, garlic powder, black pepper and salt into a food processor and puree until smooth. The chilli pepper is then mixed with olive oil and lemon vinegar to form a seasoning, and then add the olives, oil and lemons and vinegar for the preparation of the sauces with a pinch of salt. Sources: 0, 13

Continue to cook the chicken until it is through and all the liquid is absorbed and the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes until it is almost done. Cook for 10-15 minutes, covering and covering the pan, until the sauces are thickened and liquid is absorbed. Sources: 9, 14

If you have made this grilled piri piri chicken recipe, please leave a comment below or come back and leave another comment in the next post. Sources: 6

This grilled chicken is marinated in a spicy chili pirate sauce and simply baked with sauce at the end. Some people may call this a recipe, but keep the raw, fresh garlic, or you will get a burnt garlic with a bitter taste. If the sauce contains garlic, add it when the chicken is almost ready, and spoon over the meat so that it swells when cooked. Sources: 5, 7, 8, 10

This recipe is for those who are in a hurry and want to try 30 minutes of piri piri chicken and be in a hurry. The traditional Portuguese chicken, also called “PiriPiri,” is made with a mixture of two ingredients: Pira Piro paprika (originally from South Africa) and Piru Piris (imported from spice ships). This “Pirio” chicken recipe is similar to the dish you find at Nando’s. Note: This is often written in Portuguese “piri piri” and not in the Portuguese original for “ppeffer,” as it is written in English. Sources: 4, 10, 11, 12

Piri piri means simply “pepper” in Swahili, and the sauce was once given its new name in East Africa. Pira Piro peppers, the main ingredient of the “pirate” sauce, originally came to America, as did the chillies. Sources: 2

The fiery red sauce made with pirapiro peppers, garlic, onions, cumin, salt and black pepper really gets the chicken’s flavour going. Sources: 8

With a few more ingredients, it is easy to make a quick combination of herbs and spices that makes a really tasty grating for this chicken. Seal Phipps marinated her chicken overnight in Piri Piris, Mendes left the chicken for two hours, Stein only sloshed the sauce when the meat was all off the cooker, Kiros added chicken in the final minutes of cooking and the other half of the sauce was reserved for stapling. This PiriPiri chicken recipe also makes some of this sauce, so you can keep it in the fridge and use it as a marinade for other dishes. Sources: 1, 3, 14

Nando’s offers its sauce in a variety of flavours, from sweet and sour to savoury and spicy. The good news is that you can do it however you like by adding it to your recipe to control the heat level easily. Sources: 0

If you like it spicy, try a dry new edition, Vinho Verde is the best, as well as a spicy red wine like Cabernet Sauvignon or Chardonnay or, if you like me, a VinHO Verdes. Sources: 3

If you like it on the spicy side, try a dry new edition, Sauvignon Blanc seems to be a good wine, but you can also add a spicy red wine like Cabernet Blanc or Chardonnay or even a wine of your choice. Piri Piri is particularly aromatic when the dried fruits I bought are something to linger on, so if you’re like me, a SauVignons Blanc is the best. Sources: 3, 14

First fry the chicken pieces in olive oil with garlic and thyme and cook until the sauce thickens. I think it’s important to use the bone chicken, but the chicken piri can come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from small to large pieces. Then pour a dollop of the spicy red wine and a pinch of salt and pepper over the prepared Pirasauce. Sources: 1, 9, 12

Lake Albert, Africa 🧐

Something Long And Complicated visits Lake Albert, Africa 🏴‍☠️

This week I am on a trip to one of the most beautiful places in the world, Lake Albert, Africa’s second largest lake. Sources: 7

According to the former Energy Ministry Commissioner, Kampala, Uganda, is confident that the country’s fledgling oil development, the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP), will solve one of Africa’s biggest oil and gas supply problems and act as an important catalyst for the development of Uganda’s oil industry. Paris – Total and Tullow have signed an agreement whereby Total will acquire a 50% stake in the Lake Albert development project, including the East African crude pipeline. Under the terms of the deal, Total will acquire an existing 33.3334% stake in Uganda and extract the proposed 1.2 billion barrels of crude oil from the oilfield.

Under the terms of this agreement, in exchange for Total’s participation in this project and a number of other projects in East Africa, the Company will also acquire the rights to all assets and rights in the LakeAlbert development projects, which include the East-West oil pipeline and all assets in South Africa and Tanzania. Under these conditions, Total will acquire an additional 30% stake in Ugandan oil fields and a further 10% of its existing and proposed 3.5 billion barrels of oil reserves. Sources: 11, 12

We will explore the largest lake in Africa, where the best places to visit and discover the unique cultures you will find along the way. Lake Albert is not as deep as Lake Victoria, but only about 100 metres deep and just over 100 metres deep. When you look at the area, which is a correct method of determining a large lake, Lake Victoria is by far the largest lake in Africa, with 1.5 billion barrels of oil reserves. Sources: 8, 13

It is a freshwater lake, and its main outlet is the Victoria Nile in the north, but it flows into the river Semliki from the south. As a result, most fish in Lake Albert are widespread river fish species, which also occur in the main section of the Nile. It is so deep that it can turn silt on some islands, some of which have been left as bird habitats and others turned into fishing villages. Lake Albert has 55 species of fish, including a large number of fish species such as white-legged fish and brown trout, as well as many other species. Sources: 0, 13, 14

Lake Albert’s outflow into the Nile is the Semliki River, a tributary of the Victoria Nile in the north and an important water source for South Sudan. There is also the Albert Nile, which turns into the mountain nil from the south, and there is an outflow into the Albert Lake from this Nile. At the southern end of this lake, it is located on the river Semlika, which also forms the border between the two countries for a stretch. Sources: 0, 1, 15

Lake Albert is located in the eastern part of South Sudan, on the border between Sudan and Uganda. It is the second largest freshwater lake in Africa after Lake Victoria, which borders Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya. At the southern end of this lake there is a drain into Lake Albert from the Semliki River, a tributary of the Victoria Nile, but no drain out of this river. Sources: 1, 6, 10, 14

The main source of Lake Albert is the Victoria Nile, which originates from Lake Victoria in the southeast, and the Semliki River, which originates from Lake Edward in the southwest. The Nile flows through the southern part of the lake and provides water for agriculture, fisheries and other purposes in South Sudan and Uganda. Since the water of the Victoria Nile is much less salty than that of Lake Albert, it can be shown that it does not affect this lake as much as the water of other lakes in Africa, such as Lake Kivu in Uganda and Lake Burundi in Kenya. The SemLiki River is an important source for neighboring communities to obtain water for agriculture and livestock. It flows from its source in Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Kenya to the south – west and west – east. Sources: 0, 6, 15

Tensions in the lake are being exacerbated by the dispute between the DRC and Uganda over the ownership of Rukwanzi Island. There is also an ongoing dispute over the status of Lake Kivu, Africa’s second largest lake and South Africa’s largest, which has led to several refugees from the contested north-eastern region of South Sudan defecting to the lake in search of safety in Uganda, causing further tension there. Lake Albert has received little attention in recent years, as the number of tourists to the area, especially to its southern and eastern parts, is rather low. Sources: 2, 4, 9

Under the Ngurdoto – Dar – es – Salaam Treaty, the two enemies were forced to talk about the border, but also about many other issues. Following an incident earlier this month, Uganda and the DRC agreed to discuss the status of Lake Kivu and other parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo in the Lake Albert region and to set up a commission to explore the possibility of sharing oil resources from the region. The latter two developments are likely to further inflame tensions over recent oil discoveries in the LakeAlbert Bunyoro region, which is spreading from the coast, and over how funds from these reserves will ultimately be distributed. As we have already observed in the case of Lake Albert, no concessions have been awarded and no concession on the DRRC side of Lake KIVu has progressed to this stage. Sources: 2, 3, 5
